What I'm Working On Now

In a few moments I will begin writing a new comic book project which is incredibly exciting for me, and will be exciting for many of you reading this as well. The downside is, that like many things of this nature, I'm not allowed to say what it is yet. So, keep checking back. More details when I can give them.

Is it an adaptation of that old ZAZ comedy starring Val Kilmer?

That would be really horrible. The jokes would completely fall flat. It makes me wonder though if it ever was done as a novelization.

Really exciting to get a DC book by you again. I just hope it won't have a 3.99 price tag, then I'll have to "trade wait" for it.

Is it a new Madame Xanadu book set in the DCU?
Sue and Ralph Dibny, Ghost Detectives?
Deadman?

It's none of those things, and I'm not sure what the cover price will be. I understand the incentive to wait for trade paperback collections, and comic book publishers generally do as well, but the reality is that without the sales of the individual issues reaching a certain level, not only does the series itself become a likely candidate for cancellation, but the trade paperback collection becomes less likely as well.

Case in point, "Midnight, Mass." A lot of people opted not to buy the individual issues and decided to wait for the trade paperback editions instead. They're still waiting.

This new series means a lot to me, and I'd really love it if people bought the series as it comes out, especially since if this series isn't successful then we'll probably never see these characters again.

As incentive, I have crammed about four issues worth of ideas into every single issue, meaning you'll get plenty of bang for your buck.
